Can't Win
I can't win. Maybe Batman could win. I should call Batman.
In the daily war against the clock, I'm always going to lose. Yesterday morning it was me vs. the snooze button. After work it was my bus vs rush hour traffic vs swimming lessons. On Tuesdays I don't even get to go home after work. I have to go to the pool and watch The Boy blow bubbles for 30 minutes. Then I get to dodge 20 other parents while we try to find a place to change our wet children. After tugging clothes on over a sticky, partially dry 4 year old, then I get to go home. I might even get to eat dinner when I get there. At 7pm.
Daddy has been helping. He gets the kids from daycare, feeds them and hands them off to me at the pool. I'm not really sure what he does after that, because I'm at the pool, but he keeps telling me how exhausted he is at the end of the day. Helllllooooo?!?!
I've heard the saying "there aren't enough hours in the day" but lets be honest. If there were more hours in the day, I would just have more shit to do.
Today is almost another Tuesday. The only difference is I get to go home to pick up The Girl before turning around and going back to the pool. Again. Tonight I'm leaving The Boy with Daddy and I am going to sit in the hot tub while I watch The Girl Swim.
